Celebrating 17 years of saving lives
This year, the Trauma Center at Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center will celebrate its 17th Year Anniversary in critical care for residents of Brevard County.
The Trauma Center at Holmes Regional Medical Center is designed to treat the most life-threatening injuries. The Trauma Center serves all of Brevard County and portions of Indian River and Osceola counties.
The Trauma Center treats more than 2,500 patients each year and is supported by Health First's First Flight, a critical care air ambulance that has been servicing the community for more than 30 years. With services to Brevard, Indian River, and Osceola County.
The Trauma Center's goal is to provide a full-spectrum of trauma services, from safety and injury prevention programs, to advanced life-saving care for patients, to follow up treatment at our Trauma Clinic.

Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center opened its 43,000-sq.-ft. Trauma Center/Emergency Department in September 2006.
The state-of-the-art Trauma Center features:
- Three accute resuscitation trauma rooms
- Two trauma suites capable of expanding to treat up to ten patients
- Located next to the Emergency Department for dealing with mass casualties/disasters
- Direct access to First Flight air ambulance roof top landing helicopter pad
- State-of-the-art digital radiology imaging and reporting that improves speed of diagnosis and care
